Safari Park
Safari Park, known as “Taman Safari”, is a fairly unique zoo. It’s about 90 km from Jakarta, located in Puncak – a tourist area in West Java. It covers an area of 170 hectares and houses a collection of more than 3,000 animals, including Bengal tigers, Malayan sun bears, orangutans, and Sumatran elephants. In most conventional zoos, the animals are put in cage, while Safari Park has the visitors in “cage”. They aren’t allowed to get off their vehicles because animals wander freely.
