TMII, Bogor Botanical Garden
Depart to One of Jakarta’s recreation and educational places “Taman Mini Indonesia Indah”. The area covers 120 hectares in east Jakarta municipality. The concept of Mini Indonesia Indah is collecting and communicating the diversity of treasures of Indonesia. During the construction of this park Indonesia was still consisting of 27 provinces, so it was supposed to represent at least 27 highlights of Indonesian culture. In more detail, each province would have its typical traditional architecture, nature, arts and other specific life. Including visits to Indonesia museum and Komodo museum. Continue to drive to Bogor through the highway to visit Bogor Botanical Garden – located about 60 km south of Jakarta in the city of Bogor, it is a huge world class botanical garden covering an area of around 80 hectares. Founded in 1817, the gardens contain streams and lotus ponds and it has a collection of magnificent palms. The garden’s orchid houses are reputed to contain more than 3000 orchid varieties.
