Bogor Botanical garden
Located about 60 km south of Jakarta in the city of Bogor, it is a huge world class botanical garden covering an area of around 80 hectares. Founded in 1817, the gardens contain streams and lotus ponds and it has a collection of magnificent palms. The garden’s orchid houses are reputed to contain more than 3000 orchid varieties.
